Having completed her Physiotherapy Bachelor’s degree at the Third Medical Faculty, Charles University in Prague, in 2002, Lenka Oplatková started working as a physiotherapist at the Rehabilitation Clinic, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and University Hospital Motol in Prague focusing mainly on rehabilitation and functional training of clients after spinal cord lesion and post lung-transplantation client’s treatment. In 2005 she acquired her Master’s degree in physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University in Prague. She became a staff member at the Rehabilitation Clinic, University Hospital Motol headed by Professor Pavel Kolar. Working intensively at the Spinal Cord Unit Lenka became a specialist in functional assessment and treatment of patients after spinal cord injuries but also clients with various neurologic diagnoses. She is certified therapist in robot-assisted walking therapy with the Lokomat®.
Lenka has completed numerous professional courses including Mobilization and Relaxation techniques according to Lewit, Reflex Locomotion according to Vojta, Mobilization and manual techniques according to Mojžíšová, McKenzie, Sport training and medical taping. Besides serving as certified instructor in “Kolar’s Approach to Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization: A Developmental Kinesiology Model”, Lenka Oplatkova also works as a lecturer in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy teaching medical and physiotherapy students at Charles University.
Currently she works at Outpatient Department at the Rehabilitation Clinic - University Hospital Motol treating clients with various neurological and orthopedic diagnoses as well as athletes. Lenka works especially with runners and tennis players. She is a physiotherapist fo the KTP Tábor Sport Club.
